Should you buy an iPhone 12 2020 or wait for the iPhone 13 in 2021? If you’re thinking about upgrading your iPhone and want to save money while doing so, here are some things to consider. If you’re thinking about upgrading your phone, consider waiting until the fall of 2020 to get a new one. That way, you’ll be sure to get the latest software and security updates.
The iPhone 12 lineup runs on the A14 Bionic chip. It has many of the same features as the iPhone 13, including a dual camera system with an ultrawide lens, MagSafe, and IP68 water resistance. It does, however, lack the iPhone 13’s new A15 Bionic processor and its upgraded cameras. This is why some people would say that you should wait for the next generation of iPhones if you don’t need an upgrade immediately.
You can expect to receive software updates for four years after the release of the latest iPhone. Therefore, theoretically, you could keep your iPhone updated for years. Software updates provide important security patches and feature upgrades. Of course, an older phone may not run as well as a newer one, but if you’re satisfied with it, you’ll probably be happy with it.
Although the iPhone 12 and the iPhone Pro Max are still excellent phones, they don’t offer the best value. The price difference between the two is hardly significant. If you can afford $1,000 or less, go for it. Otherwise, you might be better off waiting for the newer iPhone 13 in 2021. So, what’s the best decision for you? Is the iPhone 13 worth waiting for?
